Newport Hospital Corporation received notice that State Health Planning and Development Agency hereby APPROVES and ISSUES a certificate of need to Newport Hospital Corporation for the proposal described in Certificate Application No. 08-07 for the West Maui Hospital and Medical Center!
3/4: CON Review Panel (Review 3 of 3)
The CON Review panel voted unanimously to recommended approval of the Certificate of Need Application to the SHPDA Director.

2/26: Tri-Isle Subarea Health Planning Council (Review 2 of 3)
The Statewide Health Coordinating Council voted unanimously to recommended approval of the Certificate of Need Application to the SHPDA Director. Final review panel date is March 4, 2009 at the Maui Economic Opporutnity, 99 Mahalani Street, Wailuku, Maui, Classrooms 1 & 2 at 10 am.
2/13: Tri-Isle Subarea Health Planning Council (Review 1 of 3)
The Tri-Isle Subarea Health Planning Council met. Brian Holye of Newport Corporation (Applicant) gave an overview of the application. The public then provided testimony to the Planning Council. After the Planning Council asked some questions to Mr. Hoyle pertaining to the application, the Tri-Isle Subarea Health Planning Council unanamiously voted to recommned the approval of the Certificate of Need by Newport Hosptial Corporation to SHPDA.
January, 2009
1/15/2009: West Maui Hospital & Medical Center CON Application is "deemed complete." SHPDA issues a "completeness letter" to Brian Hoyle and schedules Tri-Isle Review on Maui for Februrary 13, 2009.
